Today's sketch for Feb 5th started out as a study of this picture (super cute pose: [link]) and ended up being a cute, intimate sketch of two of my favorite characters from one of my all time favorite movies. Scarlet Pimpernel anyone? I watched the 1982 version of this probably 30 or 40 times now and it's still as amazing to me as ever. So here is Sir Percy and Marguerite.

This is lovely! I heard a friend sing a song from the musical a couple years back and became intrigued. I read the book then and fell in love! 
I watched the 1930's version and was even more hooked and then I saw the 1982 version. I bought the CD from the musical and now I'm obsessed and desperately wishing someone would get the rights to do the show where I live since I can't see it on tour anymore. Anyway, long story short, I love the Scarlet Pimpernel too and it doesn't get near enough love!
